About Washington Elementary

Welcome to Washington Elementary School! We are a unique elementary school in the heart of the community of Point Richmond. Our school is celebrating 100 years this year. We are proud of our students and their accomplishments. We are comprised of both traditional and dual Spanish-English immersion classes. We have a diverse community that works well together to accomplish our goals. We invite you to learn more about our school and the great things we are doing everyday.

About the Washington Elementary PTA

The mission of the Washington Elementary School PTA is closely aligned with the California State PTA, which is to empower and support our members with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication to positively impact the lives of all children.

The PTA at Washington is a very active group of parents and teachers. We put on a variety of community events as well as help raise funds for areas of need around the school. Most recently the PTA saw a need for a music instructor, so through diligent efforts, the community came together to raise enough money to hire one. Subsequently, the need for a structured recess coach came about. Again the community pulled together to fund a recess coach. We are not just about fundraising, though.  We also hold several events for the community such as free movie nights, a Welcome Picnic in the fall and we plan to hold a blood drive this winter. We strongly encourage you to join our organization. Membership in the PTA entitles you to vote on important matters that directly impact the lives of children at our school. CLICK HERE to join.
