Our wonderful edible and instructional garden needs some Washington love!

Washington Elementary students of all ages benefit from spending time in the garden. Whether it’s learning about germination, compost, life cycles, or simply enjoying food fresh from the garden, our kids’ science, nutrition and biology foundations are strengthened each time they enter the garden and are nurtured by Ms. Christine, our gardener extraordinaire. And did you know that other activities happen in the garden? Like mindfulness practice and performances by classrooms for parents to enjoy! Yup, our garden is an important part of our kids learning environment. It’s time to give it a spring cleaning! Please bring gloves and tools if you have them.
